Welcome to my South Africa Journey page.
My goals and hope for everyone who visits this page are to encourage you to go out and explore that burning desire of being alive. We all at some point in our lives get stuck behind this lit up screen, that captivates our attention for many minutes and hours of the days. Luckily for us humans, we are given 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, and 86,400 seconds in a day to achieve the unachievable, discover the unknown, and share our kindness between each other.
This journey of South Africa of mine hits a very soft spot in my heart. It has been 2 years since I have last been back in the continent of Africa, and ever since then I've been dreaming of going back. The kindness and generosity of the Ugandan people has had me head over heels for traveling back to Africa. I have gained so much insight about their lifestyle that I also have changed my ways of living when I came back home. I got rid of clothes I didn't need, I learned to not be so wasteful, and I embraced the relationships I had with other people. With this upcoming trip, I am very excited to learn about yet another African culture and share my experiences with everyone. If you weren't able to catch it in the video, there are several types of rewards that you can receive if you donate!
1.) $5- Just like how life is full of surprises, so am I!
2.)$10- Specialized thank you card.
3.)$20- I will run a sunrise, afternoon, or sunset mile and record it in honor of representing the miles that some of the people have to walk each day to attain clean water and such.
4.) $50- You will get a mile ran for you and be included in my thank you video in a special way.
5.)$100- What's coming your way is a surprise + a mile ran for you + a special thank you in the video + a souvenir!
Every donation, share, and spread of this journey helps every single step of the way! I appreciate everyone and anyone who can contribute in any way, even if it's just words of wisdom (: So stick around and let's get busy!
Here's the link https://oneheartsource.org/donate/empower-a-volunteer/ and within a couple days, I will be sure to get back to you on your gift. Thank you very much and keep checking back to get updated.

Hello beautiful people! I just want to give a shout out to Chris Logan for being one of the first people to donate to me! I appreciate your support from across the pond and I hope that once I am in Europe we could meet up! Every donation means alot and not only are you helping the children but you're being brought on a journey that I want everyone to take at least once in their life. You may wonder why I don't volunteer back home, and well I do. But volunteering abroad takes you out of your comfort zone and the opportunity to experience a culture from a perspective not many people can understand. So thank you again Chris and please keep checking back on my blog for more info!

Hello everyone!
I just want to give a quick thank you to my uncle and auntie for donating along with Brenton and Kristen Parks! Every step goes a long way and I cannot wait to share my adventures with you. It is currently mid term week of my college career and I did not do so hot on this last test. I hope to do better though and continue getting better grades this quarter. It does become a challenge at times, having three jobs, being a full time student, and at the same time trying to maintain your mental and physical health (both of which I have not done in awhile). But like one of my most fondest teachers said, "If there is a will, there is a way!". And I encourage that all of you find that will, no matter what it is. I've only really though about my true passions, and traveling and encouraging and helping people flourish have been two of my passions for the longest time. I don't know where I would be if I didn't volunteer all those times in high school, or if I hadn't had the opportunity to go to Uganda and work with children their. These passions have open my eyes to careers that I would love doing in the future. If you have any questions please message me and I would love to talk to you about them. If you haven't already joined my cause, you could buy a BBQ ticket, a dozen doughnuts, or look out for my upcoming fundraiser: Pura Vida Bracelets! Thank you so much again for all the love and support!

Good day people of earth! I finally have time to actually sit down and get things done since I have not been called to babysit tonight. Update on my trip: Still need to purchase flight tickets, still need to get shots, but passport is in, and need to purchase travel insurance! Trips like these do not come cheap, but what these trips do bring are a life time of opportunity. Endless opportunity I must say. I am filled with two fundraisers this weekend: Krispy Kreme and with my sister a SISTERS ABROAD bbq! Both of these have put me in tremendous stress, let alone possibly lead to the downfall of my psych midterm(?), but have taught me some great skills. 1.) Manage my time better, 2.) Organization and communication is key and 3.) THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY FOR YOURSELF (so try and make some time!). Like I said, these trips bring a lot of experiences that are not only beneficial for the now but for the future. I now know how to operate excel better and manage a fundraiser all by myself (look mom I'm a big kid now!). So if you think that these trips are impossibly to fund, they really aren't. All it takes is a little bit of this, and a little bit of that for some will power! I shall catch you all later and thank you for keeping up with my blog!

Hi all! I just want to give a big shout out to my UCSB Kuya P-LO aka Patrick Lo! He was one of the first people I've met in KP and now he just happens to be one of the coolest and greatest Kuya's I have ever met! He has been a very influential person in my stay here at UCSB and I just want to say thank you again for your generous donation. I don't think it would have been easy to go to UCSB without a great support system that we have along with my best sib Juliet! So keep being golden!

Hello everyone! I finally have some time to write about this wonderful, stressful, and exhausting weekend. I made over $1,000 which brings me to raise about $400 left to reach my goal! My deadline is May 20th, so anything helps (: I want to give a SUPER BIG THANKS to my auntie and uncle for helping cook and donate the chicken BBQ, my mom and dad for getting up super early both days on saturday to help put on a successful fundraiser for my sister and I, my friends (Koe, Kayla, Tyler, Palesa, NK, Spencer, Charmaine, Jesse, Lesther, Cody, Kevin, Richard and oh god there are just so many to list right now), and just everyone in general. I could not have pulled it off without you all. It seems so close and I am so very excited to share this journey with everyone who has contributed. Even when being in the midst of midterms and papers, there will always be a way to get through. Please keep on the watch for 3 more fundraisers! I am planning to have a chicken BBQ fundraiser again next month along with Krispy Kreme fundraiser. My last fundraiser is more of a donation thing and I will be taking $5+ donations in return for sending you a Pura Vida bracelet! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!
